Kim Backer


Kim has 40 years accounting and financial experience in the construction industry beginning after college in 1978 working for a home builder.  After 6 years she began working for a small commercial contractor building Burger Kings and 7-Elevens throughout the Northwest and was exposed to a wealth of information. She was then offered a position with a large local commercial contractor building schools, hospitals, parking structures and office buildings.  There she was exposed to all of the ins and outs of public works, reporting and bonding.

Kim began working with Corp Inc in 1999 as the Controller.  She handles all of the financial aspects of the company complete through the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports.  Kim has an excellent relationship with our Bonding Agent and the Surety Company to continually increase our bonding capacity.  She also handles all of the insurance and banking needs.  She has a very good understanding of the quirks of construction accounting and her long-term position with Corp Inc adds great value to our organization.
