Chehalis Elementary School

The Chehalis School District is creating a new learning campus consisting of two new elementary schools approx. 71,765 s.f. located on an existing undeveloped 42.6 acre parcel located directly south of the existing Chehalis Middle School. Each of the schools are designed to accommodate 612 students and 80 staff. Due to the availability of State matching funds, construction is separated into two separate projects. Each project, or Phase, has been permitted separately and will have separate construction contracts. The first project (Phase A) is currently underway and includes the majority of sitework and the PK-2 elementary school. The second project (Phase B) includes the 3-5 elementary school and related sitework. 1. The scope of work for Phase B, 3-5 Elementary School includes construction of the new two story school and site improvements within the project boundary. The Phase A project has completed the installation of site utility mains and the construction of the required subgrade at the 3-5 school building pad and at paved areas, see the Civil drawings for detail. The Phase B contractor will be responsible for all fill and structural fill above the existing sub grade as shown on the Civil drawings. 2. The structural system is wood columns, beam, and roof joists; wood stud wall framing; concrete slab on grade at the first floor; and concrete slab on plywood at the second floor and mechanical attics. The exterior will be brick, cement board panel, and lap siding with vinyl windows and storefront glazing. This project also includes the development of outdoor plan and parking areas. 3. The structural system for the building is wood columns, beam, and roof joists; wood stud wall framing: concrete slab on grade at the first floor; and concrete slab on plywood at the second floor and mechanical attics. The exterior will be brick, cement board panel, and lap siding with vinyl windows and storefront glazing. This project also includes the development of outdoor play and parking areas. Bid Alternates and Allowances are also part of this project.

Canby Utility Combined Service Ctr Ph 1

The Project consists of the construction of the new Canby Utility facility (site and buildings) at the southeast corner of the intersection of SE 3rd Avenue and S Pine Street in Canby, Oregon. There will also be off-site work in the adjacent right-of-way along SE 3rd Avenue and 5 Pine Street. This facility will be built on approximately 6 acres and will have three single story buildings (Building A, Building Band Building C). Building A is approximately 16,003 square feet, Building B is approximately 20,978 square feet and Building C is approximately 17,420 square feet. All three buildings will have single sloped standing seam metal shed roofs. Building A is primarily a wood framed building and is mostly a B occupancy with some A-3 occupancies disbursed throughout (Board/Community Room, Break Rooms and a Training Room). Building A is a slab on grade (similar to Buildings B and C) with exterior walls of wood, masonry veneer and corrugated metal panels. The construction classification for Building A is being designated as Type V-B construction. Both Buildings B and C will be pre-engineered metal buildings. Building B will have both S-1 (warehouse) and motor vehicle repair garage) and F-2 (paint shop and metal shop) occupancies and Building C will be a S-2 occupancy for being an open parking garage for the Canby Utility fleet vehicles. The construction of this facility will occur in two phases. A portion of Building A will be built in Phase 1 as well as parts of the site (both on-site and off-site). The remainder of Building A will be built out in Phase 2 along with Buildings B and C and also includes some additional on-site and off-site work.
